Cinderella

Cynthia Shur Petts

One upon a time, there was a sweet woman named Cinderella who had two mean step-sisters.

The prince had a ball, but Cinderella wasn’t invited. She cried as her sisters left.

Her fairy Godmother heard all the noise and ran into the room. She used her magic wand to turn a pumpkin into a coach, mice into horses, and Cinderella’s plain shoes into glass slippers.

“Have fun,” Godmother said, “but the spells only last until midnight!”

When Cinderella arrived at the ball, the prince said hello to the beautiful stranger. They danced until the clock struck twelve, and Cinderella ran out, losing one of her glass slippers.

The prince found the slipper and looked everywhere for its owner, until, of course, it fit perfectly on Cinderella. Don’t underestimate the importance of glass slippers.
